Ger Broderick started golfing at the age of 9. He joined Kinsale Golf Club at Rinenane in 1980 and went on to represent the club at all levels before turning professional in 1989. He trained in England for two years and returned to Ireland to the Royal Tara GC in Co. Meath in 1992 to complete his training.
In April 1997 he was invited to return to Kinsale GC as Head Professional. In June 1999 the purpose built pro shop was built, and is fully stocked with all golf equipment, and also provides lessons, club repairs , club hire and buggy hire.
